Brick Lady BugsPosted on June 4th, 2011 | Permalink | 4 Comments
Lady bugs made from 100 year old bricks. Here are the steps in making a lady bug from a brick. A few details and accents and it is ready to have the finish applied. What do you think? Oh yea, they are made with a 4 inch diamond grinding wheel, ground by moving the grinder over the brick. Baltimore-Brick-BugPosted on June 2nd, 2011 | Permalink | 1 Comment
This is my prototype or test piece to see if it would be possible to carve a simple bug out of a brick. In this case, the brick is over 100 years old. It came from my chimney of my house which was built in 1901. So, please give my latest work a comment or your thoughts. Do not worry about hurting my feelings. I was going for a folks art look. Also trying for a certain price point. What would you say this would sell for at the flea market in front of the American Visionary Art Museum on Saturday June 11, 2011. Everyone is an artist of some sort. At Assist2web.com I also create headers. Only a few are posted but there are more to come.
