Motor Dead

Posted on January 19th, 2009 | Permalink | 1 Comment

This was a grave yard for old electric motors. Did they all crawl off here to die?

What becomes of old electric motors? Did these just crawl off to die? What kind of life did they lead? Did they make something that we use today?

Have you ever thought how we throw away things, letting them die? Do we do the same with relationships, friendships, and even people we know. Or do we recycle, even if the recycling is in our thoughts, as these pictures are of the motors, only an abstraction?

More Burned Out Buildings and What I see through the lense.

What amazes me about the series of photos of the burned out building is the sculpture created by the fire.
It is almost as if the fire along with other forces were at work creating at the same time as they were destroying. The end result, of course, is in the eye of the beholder.

Rise Above

This picture got me to thinking of the adversities we face day by day. They can corrode or deteriorate our spirit, that force that actuates our mind. They can be destructive if we let them. However, if we, like this piece of roofing tin from a burned out building, rise above the adversity, it can do no harm. Just as the steel that avoided the rust by being above it, we too can succeed in life. Succeed regardless of what ever crash and burn we may experience.

This is true, only if we choose to rise above those adversities.

What do you think? What do you see? Share your one word comment on what you see.The steel becoming the beautiful blue in the photo did so because it was able to ries above the rust.
